At the request of a prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Santander (Seccional Santander) a judge ordered a prison sentence against David Alejandro Melo Martínez for his alleged responsibility in the crime of aggravated homicide.
The decision is related to the facts that took place on June 10, 2025, in the rural area known as Mira Lindo in the municipality of Landázuri (Santander). There, the defendant, accompanied by another man, allegedly approached the 56-year-old victim who was allegedly wounded multiple times with a sharp weapon.
Melo Martínez was arrested by the National Police on September 18th by virtue of a court order.
