A prosecutor from the Immediate Reaction Unit (Unidad de Reacción Inmediata URI) of the branch office in Bolívar (Seccional Bolivar) prosecuted José Gregorio Jiménez Borrero and Cristian Nicolás Valencia Dickson, who, in separate incidents, were allegedly caught transporting drugs.
In both cases, the judges imposed prison sentences.
The first court ruling was related to José Gregorio Jiménez Borrero, 27, who was arrested on August 24 by highway patrol officers. According to the investigation, the defendant evaded a stop order made at a police checkpoint in Bayunca. Then, he was reached by authorities, and 12 rectangular packages of marijuana were found inside the car.
The other case is related to Cristian Nicolás Valencia Dickson, 29, who was caught in flagrante delicto in Loma Fresca neighborhood in Cartagena. The incident occurred on September 2nd when the National Police, while patrolling, requested the suspect for an inspection. He was allegedly in charge of supplying drugs at distribution points of La Heroica. He was allegedly found in possession of marijuana.
None of the suspects pleaded guilty to manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of narcotics brought by the Office of the Attorney General.
