At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sent five alleged members of the Cuatro Vientos criminal group, involved in local drug trafficking at the so-called Centro neighborhood in Ibagué. 

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Tolima (Seccional Tolima) charged them with aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime and drug trafficking, manufacturing, or possession. None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges. 

These individuals were arrested in three search warrants conducted by the National Police in Centro, Combeima, and 20 de Julio neighborhoods of Ibagué. The defendants are José Saúl Rodríguez Tabares, William Yulián Rubio Rivera, José Reinel Murcia García, Johan Andrei Peñaloza Torres and Indira Liliana Cortés Flórez.  

According to the investigation, these individuals were part of the criminal group, which was involved in the sale of marijuana and bazuco, especially in the area known as Las Escaleras de la Once since 2024. 

Authorities seized marijuana, cocaine, and materials used for preparing doses and for packaging.
