Based on evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office, a judge sentenced Víctor Alfonso Gelvez Rodríguez, alias Orejas, to six years in prison for his participation in the threats against two community leaders in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
The Office of the Attorney General established that on January 6, 2021, the now convicted man intercepted the president of the Community Action Board in San Rafael neighborhood and intimidated her with a sharp weapon. He also threatened the vice president with death.
Later, Gelvez Rodríguez arrived at the victim’s house and threatened her for reporting the threats to the authorities.
At the hearing, the judge issued an arrest warrant for the defendant.
