The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to sentence Dago Julián Arango Pedreros to 7 years in prison for his participation in the crime of aggravated extortion.
The Office of the Attorney General demonstrated that, in March 2019, in Solita (Caquetá), a female senior citizen received extortion calls in the name of Arango Pedreros, demanding a payment in exchange for not harming her family.
The victim made several deposits in the name of the extortionist, to whom she handed over a total of 15,000,000 COP.
Arango Pedreros remains in prison Coiba in Ibagué, Tolima, where he will continue serving his sentence.
The decision became final.
