After approving the preliminary agreement between the Attorney General’s Office and three members of the criminal group known as Los Grillos, a judge sentenced them for conspiracy to commit drug trafficking and trafficking, manufacturing, or possession of narcotics.
This criminal group operated in Las Malvinas, Tovar Zambrano, Andes Bajo, and La Estrella de Florencia (Caquetá), where they were responsible for selling cocaine and marijuana, between March 2022 and June 2024.
Óscar Édgar Forero Forero and Brayan Estiven Cárdenas Guzmán were sentenced to 49 months in prison. Erika Giraldo Tovar must serve a 50-month prison sentence. The judge ordered her transfer to prison to serve the sentences, as she was under house arrest.
The Office of the Attorney General established that Giraldo Tovar and Cárdenas Guzmán were distributors, while Forero Forero was a transporter.
‘Los Grillos’ had a hard blow in September 2024, when five members were arrested. Two of them are already serving sentences.
