The Attorney General’s Office brought Maira Alejandra Lizarazo Rincón and Juan Camilo Hernández Moreno before a judge. They are accused of transporting ammunition for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces and items alluding to the Adán Izquierdo front of FARC’s dissidents.
A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Valle del Cauca (Seccional Valle del Cauca) charged the couple with manufacturing, trafficking and possession of weapons for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces, after they were arrested in fragrant on March 4, in a rural area of the above-mentioned municipality
The facts took place on a public road in the rural area of Cienegueta, where National Police allegedly found the defendants in possession of a cardboard box containing 118 cartridges for rifle of 5.56 and 7.62 calibers, two magazines, a communications radio, two batteries for a portable radio, and a banner alluding to the criminal organization.
After accepting the request made by the Office of the Attorney General, the judge sentenced the couple to serve prison sentences. None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them.
