The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Juan Carlos Bermúdez Bocanegra and Huber Julián Romero Cruz, for their alleged responsibility in the crimes of aggravated homicide, attempted homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. They did not plead guilty to the charges.

According to the investigation, in November 2024, the alleged attackers allegedly shot a 28-year-old man, who died in a sector known El Salado, Ibagué. Another person, 23, was also injured.

Apparently, these facts were committed due to personal issues. A judge ordered a prison sentence.

Officers from the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI), with the support of the National Police, carried out home searches in Gaitán neighborhood of Ibagué (Tolima) and Marulanda neighborhood of Tuluá (Valle del Cauca), where these men were arrested.
