The crimes were allegedly committed between July and August 2023.

At the request of a female prosecutor appointed to the so-called Unidad de Vida (Life Unit) of the branch office in Córdoba (Seccional Córdoba), Jhonatan Javier Durango López, alias Monito, was ordered to serve a prison sentence after a judge in Montería approved the request.

The defendant would be involved in several murders that occurred between August and July 2023. The crimes were allegedly committed in the name of the Javier Yépez Cantero substructure of Clan del Golfo. For these facts, alias Monito was charged with homicide.

According to the investigation, alias Monito, allegedly shot at the victims and fled on a motorcycle. The deaths occurred in San Pelayo and Corinto and Miraflores neighborhoods of Cereté (Córdoba).

Officers of Dijín of the National Police arrested the suspect on February 24 in Cereté. The defendant, 19 years old, denied his responsibility in the incident.
