At the request of the Attorney General’s Office, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Jesús Antonio Borja Manco, alias El Negro, as the alleged person responsible for participating in the murder of two men, 26 and 29.

A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Antioquia (Seccional Antioquia) charged him with homicide; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; both aggravated. The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges.

The incident took place in the urban area of ​​Salgar (Antioquia), on June 30, 2024, when ‘El Negro’, who was traveling in the rear seat of a motorcycle in the company of another man, apparently shot the victims several times, causing their deaths.

Borja Manco was arrested by the National Police in the rural area of ​​Ciudad Bolívar (Antioquia) and during the operation they seized a 9 mm-pistol with 25 cartridges, a table with codes and several documents with information about an illegal armed group to which he allegedly belonged.

The evidence obtained by the Office of the Attorney General showed that ‘El Negro’ demobilized from the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia AUC), in 2006.
