The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Robinson Jhoan Botello Rubio, alias Japanese, for his alleged responsibility in the attack with a firearm on a citizen that put his life at risk. The facts took place on July 4, 2024 in Cúcuta (Norte de Santander).
For these incidents, a prosecutor charged him with attempted murder and manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms or ammunition. During the preliminary hearings, the defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and a judge imposed a prison sentence.
The judicial activities carried out by the Technical Investigative Corps (CTI) and Sijín established that the defendant, in the company of another person, attacked with a firearm a man who was walking through San José neighborhood, causing him several injuries.
Alias Japón, 21, was arrested on February 16 by National Police during patrols carried out in the metropolitan area of Cúcuta.
