A prosecutor appointed to the branch office in Santander charged Jairo José Aponte Alcalá and José Nazareth Añanguro Aponte, as the alleged responsible for the crimes of aggravated homicide and personal injuries.
According to the investigation, on February 9th, the defendants allegedly attacked with a knife two people who were traveling in a car.
It is believed that the defendants and the victims, shortly before an argument, had a traffic incident. Both people who were in the car were allegedly attacked by Aponte Alcalá and Añanguro Aponte when they tried to talk. A 43-year-old businessman died in the incident, and the other man was injured.
Neither of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges. In the meantime, the judge in the case imposed a prison sentence on both people.
