The joint action between the Attorney General’s Office and the National Police allowed to prosecute nine alleged murderers who disrupted public safety in Barranquilla (Atlántico). All were sent to prison.
The defendants were charged, according to their alleged individual responsibilities, with crimes: aggravated homicide; manufacture, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; extortion and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.
Among the people investigated are: Gustavo Adolfo Villanueva Llerena, alias El Mello, Eudo Enrique Romero Urdaneta, Jaider Gregorio Amador Quessep, Johan Farid Viloria Carpio and brothers Fernando Stiven and Josué David Acuña Fuentes. These people were involved in the murder of a National Police patrolman, which took place on May 17 in the San Luis neighborhood in Atlántico.
Security videos showed that after finishing his workday the victim was followed by several of the defendants. ‘El Mello’, was allegedly in charge of shooting at the officer; then he fled in a car that was waiting for him. Police who were near the place arrested the defendant who was in possession of a firearm, ammunition, cell phones and a vehicle.
For these facts, which are independent, Luis Fernando Lamadrid Ochoa, alias Torta, was prosecuted, allegedly involved in four homicides that took place between June and August last year. Victor Manuel Gutierrez Crespo, alias Soldadito, was also brought before a judge. He is accused of being the murderer of a bus company driver in Soledad (Atlántico) which took place on September 17.
