The alleged leader died during a military operation carried out on November 1st, in the rural area of ​​Murillo.

A prosecutor appointed to the Directorate specialized in the fight against Criminal Organizations (Dirección Especializada contra las Organizaciones Criminales DECOC) prosecuted Wilmer Alexánder Cadena Rosero, Kevin Marin Tabares, Bladimir Cubillos Cachaya and Claudia Elena Peláez Yajue, as the alleged responsible for conspiracy to commit crimes, trafficking, manufacture and illegal possession of weapons for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces and for personal use.

The defendants are believed to be part of the so-called ‘Frente 26 de marzo’ of FARC dissidents that came from the Departments of Huila and Cauca to allegedly engage in various illegal actions in Tolima. Preventive detention orders were issued against them by a judge from Líbano.

The arrests were carried out in the rural area known as El Vinagre in the municipality of Murillo during an operation carried out by the Police and the National Army. Miller Ortiz Rivas, alias Miller, alleged leader of the illegal structure belonging to the Central Isaías Pardo block, during these actions. There were arrest warrants against alias Miller for the crimes of homicide and conspiracy to commit a crime, both aggravated.

None of the defendants pleaded guilty to the charges. All were sent to Coiba Picaleña prison in Ibagué where they must serve a detention sentence.
