The crimes occurred between August 2023 and September of this year. They would be related to disputes over the control of illicit income in the department and to an exercise of pressure and intimidation towards the civilian population.
The evidence collected by the Attorney General’s Office made it possible to document and find those people responsible for 14 selective homicides that occurred between August 2023 and September of this year, in Hobo, Campoalegre and Algeciras (Huila).
They are Cristol Andrea Sánchez Uribe, alias La Negra or Wendy; Britny Juliet Cuellar Martínez, alias Derly; and Elmer Ronaldo Collazos Camayo, alias Churos. A prosecutor appointed to the Territorial Support Directorate charged these three alleged members of the so-called Iván Díaz structure of FARC’s dissidents with aggravated homicide, aggravated conspiracy to commit crimes, and aggravated manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition. Alias La Negra was also prosecuted for terrorism.
The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges and, by order of a judge, they must serve a prison sentence, on the understanding that they were recently arrested, prosecuted and deprived of their freedom for other criminal acts.
The offenses that were attributed would be related to disputes that the illegal armed group have with different criminal organizations for the control of illicit income. Likewise, they would be related to an exercise of pressure and intimidation on the civilian population.
It is believed that ‘La Negra’ also participated in acts of terrorism, such as the launching of an explosive device against a gas station in Hobo, on August 24, 2023; and the burning of an inter-municipal public transport vehicle, whose owner received threatening pamphlets in the name of the Iván Díaz structure.
