A judge sentenced Iván Antonio Álvarez Lobo, alias Hueso, to 18 years in prison, for the crimes of homicide and manufacture, trafficking or possession of firearms, both aggravated.
The facts took place in an urban area of the municipality of Zaragoza (Antioquia), on December 22, 2022. Several men hold a 28-year-old foreign citizen prisoner and after tying his hands up and feet, they took him to the Tigüi river where they shot him. The corpse was thrown into the river.
The victim’s corpse, in an advanced state of decomposition, was found six days later in the jurisdiction of the municipality of El Bagre.
Alias Hueso, 22, was a member of the illegal armed group Clan del Golfo and was arrested by Sijín- National Police on January 19 in Zaragoza. He is currently being held in Combita prison (Boyacá).
A preventive detention measure was also issued against the defendant for two homicides and one attempted homicide, allegedly committed on September 3, 2022 in the municipality of El Bagre (Antioquia).
The judge approved a preliminary agreement signed between the defendant and the Prosecutor’s Office in a spontaneous way and legally advised.
Ismael Antonio Vergara Vargas, alias Terry, is also deprived of his liberty for the murder of the foreign citizen.
