A judge sentenced Leonardo Fabio Morales to 20 years and 10 months in prison, for the murder of a woman in La Galería sector in Manizales (Caldas) which took place on May 23, 2023.
The investigation showed that Morales approached the woman while she was hanging out with other people at a residence. There, the victim was attacked with a sharp weapon by the defendant. Despite she was taken to a hospital, she died as a result of the severity of her injuries.
The Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated that the day before the facts, the aggressor threatened the victim with death since she did not want to have relations with Morales.
According to the National Institute of Legal Medicine the woman died as a result of seven injuries.
Leonardo Fabio Morales pleaded guilty to aggravated homicide.
