The convicted person was found in possession of pistols and ammunition at his home during search warrants procedures 

The evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office allowed a judge to sentence Novis Francisco Arrieta to 9 years in prison for his responsibility in the illegal storage of two firearms in a home located in Sincelejo (Sucre).

The facts took place during a search warrant that was carried out on July 6, 2018 at a property located at the so-called Dulce Nombre neighborhood, where the authorities found two weapons of different calibers and ammunition.

The judge found the defendat responsible for the crime of manufacture, trafficking and possession of firearms or ammunition, and he currently has a 12-month possession ban.

Likewise, the judge ordered the seizure of weapons and ammunition. Therefore, the warehouse of the Marine Corps in Corozal (Sucre) will be informed about the case.
