The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted Adrián Arbey Vélez Ramírez, for transporting 702 kilograms of marijuana in a van.

Members of the Criminal Investigation Corps in Caldas, in coordination with the National Army, identified in a checkpoint in the rural area of Mudarra, municipality of Supía (Caldas), the vehicle that was transporting the narcotics. 

They found 17 sacks with rectangular packages containing marijuana. In the operation, Vélez Ramírez, who was driving the van, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the defendant with trafficking, manufacture and drug possession. He did not plead guilty. The judge issued a prison sentence.
