A prosecutor from the so-called Unidad de Vida (Life Unit) of the Sectional Office in Tolima prosecuted Albeiro Mejía Triana and Fredy Andrés Lozano Idrobo for their alleged responsibility in the commission of aggravated homicide; illegal manufacturing, trafficking or possession of firearms or ammunition.
The facts took place on August 30, 2023 in Serrezuela las Garzas, rural area of El Guamo, when the victims, 18 and 20, were attacked with a firearm and therefore, they died.
According to the investigation, the defendants would be part of the criminal group Los Sicarios which commited crimes in El Guamo, El Espinal and Flandes (Tolima).
The defendants did not plead guilty to the charges. They were deprived of their liberty in prisons for their alleged participation in several homicides.
A judge imposed a prison sentence.
