A judge hearing the case in Yopal (Casanare) approved the preliminary agreement signed freely and voluntarily with 11 members of the drug dealing network ‘Los de la Décima’.
After the defendants pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal conspiracy and trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics, the judge sentenced them to 5 and 6 years in prison.
The defendants are: Joel Antonio García Zapata, Jairo Afanador Torres, Víctor Manuel Díaz Pacheco, Valeria Espinel García, Rolfe Eliécer Soler Suárez, Pedro Alonso Pinilla Torres, Brayan Antonio Zea Berrío, Jéssica Tatiana Perdomo Guzmán, Linda Perdomo Guzmán, Zulma Marilyn Rodríguez Méndez and Sugey Nosvelly Larrota Muñoz.
The Prosecutor’s Office demonstrated that between January 2022 and April 2023, the defendants sold narcotics near schools in El Progreso III neighborhood in Yopal, as well as parks and public areas used by citizens for the recreation of minors.
Judicial police work revealed that the drug trafficking network had defined roles to carry out illegal trade.
