At the request of a prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Risaralda, a judge imposed a prison sentence on Juan Pablo Mahecha Villa, allegedly responsible for extorting the manager of a hotel located in the Villavicencio neighborhood inPereira (Risaralda).

Apparently, on January 19, the defendant impersonated a member of a criminal group to intimidate the victim and demand the payment of 3 million pesos or he would attack his integrity and his family and to limit his ability to work in the city.

Members of GAULA National Police arrested Mahecha Villa when he was going to receive the money derived from his illicit conduct.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged the person with extortion. He did not plead guilty.
