Alias Sombra was allegedly involved in the transport of weapons used in the homicide.

The Attorney General’s Office achieved the prosecution of Jorge Eliecer Romero Pérez, alias Sombra, an alleged member of the David Meza Peña front of the ‘Clan del Golfo’ who was accused of participating in the murder of three people on April 14, in the rural area of Carretal, in Nueva Granada (Magdalena).

The evidence shows that ‘Sombra’ allegedly took a revolver, a pistol and about 30 cartridges to a farm, which were later collected and delivered to the hitmen who perpetrated the triple crime.

A prosecutor belonging to the Homicide Group of the Delegate Office for Territorial Security charged Romero Pérez with aggravated homicide; manufacturing, trafficking, possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition; and aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and was ordered to serve a prison term.

As a result, there are three people prosecuted for the murder that occurred in the rural area of Nueva Granada.

Recently, Iván Carlos Gámez Fama, alias Pajarito; and Carlos Andrés Monroy Ibargüen, alias Carro Loco, two other possible members of the ‘Clan del Golfo’ who would have stored and transported the weapons used in the criminal action, were arrested.
