After several weeks of monitoring and corroborating information that finally led to the dismantling of this criminal group, a Prosecutor from the Sectional Office in Vichada managed to get a judge to send four people to prison. Three men and a woman who, apparently, had in their possession firearms for the exclusive use of the military forces, in the Guacacías sector in Vichada.
Deiby Albeiro Estupiñán Cuero, Johan Andrés Perea Hinestroza, Juan Carlos Viáfara Segura and Johana Álvarez Bermeo, were arrested in flagrante delicto after they confronted police and army officers with firearms when they arrived to verify the information. Two more were arrested in a hotel of the area in possession of weapons and ammunition for private use.
In total, they found 2 pistols with ammunition, 5 cell phone equipment, a communication radio, and 2 motorcycles without license plates or documents.
The Prosecutor in the case charged them with trafficking, manufacture and possession of firearms, and trafficking, manufacture and possession of defense weapons, charges that, although they were not accepted, the judge sent the defendants to prison.
