A man was brought before a local prosecutor in Tibú (Norte de Santander) by the Prosecutor’s Office for his alleged responsibility in the crime of manufacturing, trafficking and possession of weapons, ammunition for restricted use, for the exclusive use of the Armed Forces or explosives.

The arrest in flagrante delicto of Jaider Pérez Quintero was carried out after a home search operation by the National Police on November 29, in  San Martín neighborhood of that town. He was found in his possession a Glook brand firearm, a supplier and 15 cartridges.

The Municipal Court legalized the arrest and seizure of the objects at the hearings.

A prison sentence was pronounced after the accusation.
