The investigations carried out by the Attorney General’s Office made it possible to identify, arrest and prosecute Juan Pablo Pérez Álvarez, alias Garen Bey, an alleged member of the Uldar Cardona Rueda substructure of the ‘Clan del Golfo’.

This man would be one of the hitmen of the illegal group and would be involved in at least five murders that occurred the last year in Caucasia (Antioquia), including a double homicide that took place on August 11, 2021.

A prosecutor of the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations brought alias Garen Bey before a judge and charged him with aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime for homicide purposes.

The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and must serve a prison sentence.
