The Attorney General’s Office, through the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations, prosecuted Edgar de Jesús Bravo Velásquez, alias Edgar, Andrés or Coste, the alleged leader of the criminal gang ‘Los Triana’.
This person was the alleged main coordinator of thefts, drug trafficking, extortion and other illicit behaviors that are attributed to the illegal structure in Santa Rita, Zamora and La Gabriela neighborhoods, in Bello; and the so-called ‘comunas’ 10 and 11 in Medellín (Antioquia).
A prosecutor of the Special Directorate against Criminal Organizations charged alias Edgar with conspiracy to commit an aggravated crime for the purpose of extortion, forced displacement, drug trafficking and homicide.
The defendant did not plead guilty to the charges and, by decision of the judge, he must serve a prison sentence.
The arrest of ‘Edgar’ was carried out in Bello (Antioquia), in a joint effort by the Prosecutor’s Office and the National Police.
