The Prosecutor’s Office brought Jeiner Luce Velásquez Quiñonez, 42, before justice, for his alleged responsibility in the crime of aggravated femicide.
The facts took place on January 15th in the municipality of Arauca (Arauca), where the person accused arrived at his former girlfriend’s house and, after having a discussion, he apparently attacked her with a knife. The victim was taken to a hospital, but she died due to the severity of her injuries.
It should be noted that after the facts, Velásquez Quiñonez, went to a police station, where he informed that he had injured his former partner. Once the information was verified by the officers, he was arrested.
In preliminary hearings, a judge Arauca approved the arguments presented by the Prosecutor’s Office and issued a prison sentence.
The man was transferred to the judicial prison of that city, as he accepted his responsibility for the facts that were investigated.
