Audios and images showing the creation of an urban collective and the roles that its members played to generate outrages were presented by the Attorney General’s Office in a hearing aimed at prosecuting four people arrested for their alleged participation in criminal acts during protests in Bogotá
The Office of the Attorney General carried out an investigative process in a joint work with Dijin- National Police to reveal and to supply details about the functioning of one of the so-called ‘colectivos’ or ‘uniones solidarias’ through which the residual groups allegedly promoted acts of vandalism and terrorism in Bogotá between October 2019 and September of the current year.
In 10 months, 11 search and seizure processes, wiretappings with more than 1,600 hours of listening and 112,000 audios, data and messages; surveillance and monitoring activities, morphological and fingerprints comparisons, selective searches in databases, and requests for information to public or private entities, among other judicial police tasks were carried out.
Based on the information that was obtained, the five alleged members of these illegal networks working for the residual structures were identified. Four of them were arrested in procedures carried out on September 18, and another one, known with the alias of Rosita, wanted by virtue of a blue notice of Interpol and, who according to information from the authorities would be in Germany.
