As a result of a joint work between the Office of the Attorney General and the National Army, Domingo Ramos Cortés or ‘Hermes’, an alleged member of a dissident group of the extinct column named columna móvil Teófilo Forero was arrested. The above mentioned person was allegedly  involved in criminal actions against people in process of reincorporation in Huila.

The information gathered by the investigators indicates that alias Hermes had participated in threats and forced displacement of two people in the process of reincorporation in Algeciras (Huila). Moreover, he is accused of the murder of a man identified as Monroy Buitrago Rojas that was carried out last May 28 in a rural area of ​​the aforementioned municipality.

A prosecutor appointed to the Special Investigation Unit (Unidad Especial de Investigación in Spanish) will charge alias Hermes with forced displacement, aggravated criminal conspiracy, and illegal possession of firearms.

The defendant was arrested in rural settlement La Perdiz, in Algeciras (Huila). This person was part of the demobilized Farc column Teófilo Forero Castro and had been arrested in 2014. Three years later, he was released after being beneficiary of the Amnesty Law.

This result is added to the prosecution of three members of the dissident group of the extinct Teófilo Forero column.
