The Office of the Attorney General achieved in hearings before a supervisory judge, the prosecution of Jhon Freider Castro Ipia for his alleged participation in the kidnapping of two foreign citizens.

The victims, the Swiss citizen Daniel Max Guggenheim and the Brazilian citizen José Iván Albuquerque Matias, were rescued on June 18 in Corinto (Cauca) in a joint action carried out by CTI Bogotá and Gaula- Army. The defendant was also arrested in the proceeding.

For these facts, the Office of the Attorney General charged Castro Ipia with kidnapping. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and he must serve a sentence in a prison center.

The information obtained in the investigations show that the foreign citizens were kidnapped in March this year by an Organized Armed Group (GAO) in Corinto (Cauca).
