The Inspector General, Fernando Carrillo, the Comptroller General, Carlos Felipe Córdoba, and the Attorney General, Francisco Barbosa Delgado, inform that:

1.    The three institutions agreed, within the framework of their competences, to create from the beginning of this pandemic a team integrated by senior officials to deal with corruption acts that public servants at national, a departmental and municipal level may incur in relation to assistance to Colombian citizens and the adoption of measures to control the spread of the coronavirus.

This group is led by the Inspector General, the Comptroller  General and the Attorney General.

2.    As autonomous and independent institutions, we are not part of an elite team led by the Vice Presidency in order to pursue corrupt people. This group already exists and acts within the limits of our competences and is made up of officials who belong to the three institutions.

In the next few days, we will show concrete results concerning those who commit acts of corruption and  could have a disciplinary, tax and criminal liability.
