After a year and four months of their arrest, the Office of the Attorney General finally managed to carry out, between yesterday December 12nd and today, a hearing to bring charges for undue interest in the execution of contracts and bribery (offering or giving) in consistent sequence of serial crimes against councillors and former councillors.
The Office of the Attorney General officially accused, before a judge hearing the case, fifteen (15) people for their alleged participation in the irregular election of an official representative (personero) and comptroller in Neiva (Huila) at the end of year 2015 and beginning of 2016, under the approval of the Board of Directors that governed by that time in the city.
The prosecuting authority will demonstrate that a merchant of the region financed the candidacy of both applicants by mutual agreement and with a representative of Huila by paying up to $ 12,000,000 pesos to several members of the corporation to support and vote for the choice.
