More than 18.7 billion were invested in the construction of the new (Centro de Atención de la Fiscalía CAF)1 which will provide comprehensive attention to the users of justice.

Today, the Office of the Attorney General opened the new CAF that will operate in the Caribbean headquarters in Medellín (Antioquia). For the construction of the new property which has ​​8572 square meters, the municipal mayor’s office invested 18,743 billion.

About 130 public servants will be working at the new CAF. Among the public servants, there will be staff of the Office of the Attorney General, National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses), Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (Icbf)2, the Major´s Office in Medellín represented by staff of the Family Services Division (Comisaría de Familia), the Secretariat (Secretaria de la Mujer), Police authorities, among other support networks.

With this center, the goal is not only to reduce time for customer service but also to increase the reception of complaints from 170 to 250 per day.
