To date, 15 councillors have been charged by a prosecutor of the Unit of Public Administration, sectional Office in Tolima.

Linda Esperanza Perdomo Ramírez was charged by the Office of the Attorney General with breach of duty (action) in consistent sequence of serial crime due to alleged irregularities she committed along with other 15 of her counterparts in 2016, when she was elected municipal comptroller by that time.

Marcela Jaramillo was the person who gained a score higher than 80%, as established and required by the contest, however, the winner was Ramiro Sánchez, who was dismissed shortly after due to inconsistencies detected.12

The defendant and her counterparts did not plead guilty to the charges.
