Three public servants of the mayor´s Office in Tolú (Sucre) were arrested by the Office of the Attorney General due to alleged irregularities in the management of Court Orders.
According to an investigation conducted by the Sectional Prosecutor´s Office in Sucre, the three former public servants illegally took possession of remainders of an executory proceeding belonging to former workers of the mayor´s Office in Tolú amounting to 400’000.000 pesos.
At the request of a Guarantee Court (Control de Garantias), the Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) arrested legal advisers Luis Ernesto García Baiz and Liliana María Céspedes Peñeres, and the mayor during 2012-2015, Alfonso Ríos Bermúdez.
