Based on evidentiary material submitted by the Office of the Attorney General, the Third Criminal Court –Circuit of Bucaramanga (Santander) sentenced Former mayor of municipality Los Santos (Santander) to serve 5 years in prison and ordered him to pay a fine of 1’527.000 pesos for the alleged execution of contracts without compliance of the legal requirements and embezzlement.
According to investigations, facts took place in 2005 when the local authority, by that time, entered into two contracts by an amount that exceeds the sum of 58’000.000 pesos to buy school kits.
