Operation against illegal resources of the s-called ‘Clan del Golfo’

As a result of this historic operation conducted in the region of Urabá, some farms, luxury country houses, vehicles of public service, transportation companies, and a big farm to breed and sell genetically improved livestock were recovered.

Also 3.283 cattle were recovered.

Expectations in regard to one of the biggest operations to seize assets (extinción de dominio) of Clan del Golfo have exceeded calculations during the stage of execution. These reached a multimillionaire and historic amount in the fight against organized crime.

The Office of the Attorney General with the support of National Police carried out an operation to seize properties of Ramiro Caro Pineda, aka ‘Nolasco’, a convicted member of the so-called ‘Clan del Golfo’, as well as properties of his relatives and associates. Properties were valued at $100.000’000.000 pesos.
