Office of the Attorney General brought charges against former auditor general, Laura Emilse Marulanda Tobón, due to alleged use of public funds in order to have plastic surgeries.
According to an investigation that was conducted by a prosecutor belonging to Unit on Crimes against Public Administration (Unidad de Delitos contra la Administración Pública), the former public servant had three surgeries in a hospital named Hospital La María on January 29, 2016 which is managed by her brother William Marulanda Tobón.
