More than seven thousand billion pesos were seized from a criminal organization engaged in counterfeiting and smuggling currency

As a result of an operation that was conducted in Bogotá, twelve people were arrested for being allegedly involved in counterfeiting and smuggling local and foreign currency.

According to reports, 800.000 euros, 1.100.000 dollars and 406 million pesos, 7.000 billion of Colombian pesos (original and counterfeit banknotes) were seized during the home searches.
