False victims of massacre in Mapiripán (Meta) were sentenced to more than 8 years in prison

Williams Alexánder Molina Figueredo, Carlos Felipe Figueredo, Jonathan Figueredo Cagüeño and Luis Fernando Figueredo Cagüeño were sentenced to 8 years and 10 months in prison by the 37^th Circuit Court in Bogotá hearing the case (juez de conocimiento in spanish). They were charged with illicit gain offenses, procedural fraud and aggravated swindle as coauthors.

Defendant’s responsibility was demonstrated by the Office of the Attorney General as they deceived the State by taking advantage of the tragedy which plunged the country into mourning. They pretended to be victims of massacre in Mapiripán (Meta) before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in 2012.
