He has an outstanding national and international warrant of arrest
Charges were brought against Rodolfo Argüelles Alarcón, former director of Hospital Piloto de Jamundí (Valle), by a prosecutor belonging to the Unit on Crimes against Public Administration (Unidad de Delitos contra la Administración Pública in spanish) before the 6th Circuit Court (Preliminary hearing judge) in Cali for alleged irregular practices in the purchase of logistics and equipment for that medical institution.
Within the framework of the so-called plan “Bolsillos de Cristal”* which was implemented by the Office of the Attorney General, the prosecutor leading the case brought charges against Argüelles Alarcón due to the execution of contracts without compliance of the legal requirements, embezzlement and forgery of public document.
*“Bolsillos de Cristal” is a plan which was promoted by the Office of the Attorney General in Colombia in order to fight against corruption.
