Office of the Attorney General appealed court´s decision of releasing two employees and a contractor in La Guajira who were prosecuted for irregular practices in agreements to eradicate dengue fever

Office of the Attorney General appealed 47th Criminal Court´s decision (Guarantee Court) which denied a preventive detention order requested for two employees and a contractor in La Guajira for alleged irregular practices in agreements to eradicate dengue fever in that Department.

According to the Judge there is no “evidence in this investigation of their responsibility and participation”, however the Office of the Attorney General considers that the accused individuals represent a danger to society, and if released, they could affect the procedural stage due to their power in that region.
