On Tuesday, Attorney General Néstor Humberto Martínez Neira held a meeting with mayors belonging to the Colombian Association “Asociación Colombiana de Ciudades Capitales – Asocapitales” with the purpose of developing strategies in regard to the lack of public security in different regions of the territory.
The meeting was attended by Guillermo Alfonso Jaramillo, mayor of Ibagué (Tolima) and the Association´s president; Federico Gutiérrez, mayor of Medellín (Antioquia); Daniel Mejía, Secretary of Security in Bogotá, local representatives in Barranquilla (Atlántico), Quibdó (Chocó), Tunja (Boyacá), Cartagena (Bolívar), Florencia (Caquetá), Pereira (Risaralda), Pasto (Nariño), Montería (Córdoba) and Valledupar (Cesar).
