Preventive detention orders were issued for 21 people allegedly responsible for affecting economic resources from the Department of Antioquia

The 24^th Municipal Judge in Medellin (Antioquia) with supervisory functions (control de garantías) issued non-custodial sentences for a public servant on active duty and 20 contractors from the Secretary of the Treasury in Antioquia for allegedly affecting the economic patrimony of the Department.

As part of the so called “Bolsillos de Cristal” strategy which was promoted by the Office of the Attorney General, the Criminal Investigation Team (CTI) in Medellin arrested 16 people on December 15th and 16th which included public servants and contractors from the Secretary of the Treasury in Antioquia. The other five arrested people are former contractors and they voluntarily appeared before CTI.
