In order to strengthen the international cooperation ties between both countries, the Office of the Attorney General held a meeting with the United States Special Operations Unit.  Members of the Special Operations Unit and staff from the Office of the Judicial Attaché for the United States Embassy to Colombia attended the meeting which was chaired by the Director of the Management Office, Ana Fabiola Castro Rivera who represented the Office of the Attorney General.

During this event, cases of bilateral interest were addressed, particularly those which allowed to recover properties derived from illegal activities. The purpose was to promote the agreement concerning Sharing of Seized Assets which was signed by both countries on November 21st, 2016 in Cartagena (Bolivar).The National Director of Special Prosecutor´s Office of Assets Forfeiture, Luz Ángela Bahamón Flórez and the Director of the Special Judicial Police on Judicial and Economic Matters, Andrés Eduardo Jiménez Camargo also participated at this event.
