Fifteen police officers on active duty who allegedly belonged to a criminal network, were arrested in Barranquilla (Atlántico) and must appear before a supervisory judge (juez de garantías) for the commission of aggravated criminal conspiracy, breach of public duty (omission), embezzlement, abuse of public office, unauthorized access to information systems.
These results are derived from investigations that were carried out by the 29th Prosecutor belonging to the Unit on Crimes against Public Administration (Unidad de Administración Publica) in the framework of the so called plan “Bolsillos de Cristal”* which was promoted by the Attorney General, Néstor Humberto Martínez Neira.
