Preventive detention orders were issued for 10 alleged members of the criminal gang known as El Cerrito as they were engaged in micro drug trafficking activities

At the request of the Office of the Attorney General, the 16^th Municipal Judge with supervisory functions (Control de garantías) issued preventive detention orders for 10 people. They were indicted of being alleged members of a criminal gang engaged in selling and distributing drugs in the municipality El Cerrito (Valle del Cauca). Another two people were arrested in flagrante and they were subsequently released but linked to the process.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, the defendants operated in the so called neighborhood Prado Valle where they sold and distributed small doses of marijuana and cocaine.
