As a prevention strategy, governments of Ecuador and Colombia carried out the the first Binational Fair against Trafficking in Persons in which the Rumichaca International Bridge (Puente Internacional Rumichaca) was the scenario. This is located on the border between these two countries.
The Office of the Attorney General’s participation is aimed at strengthening judicial and technical cooperation with Ecuador in order to identify problems and suggest criminal policies to the benefit of victims.
