Attorney General, Nestor Humberto Martinez, agreed with the United States Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch to hold a summit against Organized Crime and Corruption on October 4th in Cartagena (Bolívar).

The Summit will be focused on the fight against the illegal funding of criminal organizations and corruption cartels in order to confiscate assets derived from crime.

“Now, with the support of the United States we are going to do field work to fight against organized crime and corruption in our country. Prosecutors and intelligence agencies in the US will support this meeting since they will be in charge of this work. It will be especially focused on the fight against illicit money of criminal organizations as it is our responsibility to work on it right now ” said Attorney General Martinez.
